TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT QUALIFICATIONS
FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC II
Program that trains students on the preparation of food plans and meals for restaurants, hotels, canteens, banquets and functions, and basically any establishment that serves food to a large number of people.
BARTENDING II
Program that develops the skills of students in the preparation and mixing of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
BARISTA NC II
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve in the deliverance of good quality coffee in commercially-operated cafes or specialty coffee shops. This qualification is specific to a person who specializes in making coffee beverages.
COOKERY NC II
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to clean kitchen areas, prepare hot, cold meals and desserts for guests in various food and beverage service facilities.
COMMERCIAL COOKING NC III
Students will learn about managing a small cooking business or a restaurant, you will also learn new kind of recipes, menu preparation depending on client’s request/demand, bulk order/catering preparation and procedure, item resource tips and process, menu pricing procedure and guide to attract more customers in your work.
COMMERCIAL COOKING NC IV
Course will train you in managing a small restaurant or cooking business as well as preparing foods that meet specific dietary and cultural requirements.
BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION NC II
Program that develops the skills of students in preparing and producing bakery/pastry products, cakes and desserts.
TOURISM PROMOTION SERVICES NC II
Program that will train you in boosting the tourism in a particular area by promoting its products and services as well as the beauty of the area itself.
FRONT OFFICE SERVICES NC II
Program that will train you in assisting customers who want to stay or make reservations for staying in a commercial establishment that provides accommodation such as hotels, inns, pension houses, and the like
EVENTS MANAGEMENTS SERVICES NC III
Course will train you in planning and organizing events in different venues such as conference centers, hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs resorts and luxury liners.
HOUSEKEEPING NC II
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must have achieve to prepare guest rooms, clean public areas and equipment, provide housekeeping services, provide valet services, handle intoxicated guest, and laundry linen and guest clothes to a range of accommodation
HOUSEKEEPING NC III
Course will train you in supervising maintenance and cleanliness of guest room floors and public areas in conference centers, hotels, motels, restaurant, clubs, resorts and luxury liners

TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT QUALIFICATIONS
FOOD PROCESSING NC II
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must have in order to process foods by salting, curing and smoking; process food by fermentation and pickling; process food by sugar concentration; process food by drying and dehydration and process food by thermal application.
BOOKKEEPING NC III
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to journalize transactions, post transactions, prepare trial balance, prepare financial reports and review internal control system.

TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
SHIP’S CATERING SERVICES NC I
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve in performing mess hall service, performing housekeeping services and providing assistance in receiving and storing provisions and supplies.
SHIP’S CATERING NC III (SHIP’S COOK)
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve in managing all galley operations, including both the procurement of supplies and practical food production in compliance with the national and international requirements for the duration and nature of the voyage. It also includes competencies in serving proper quantities of quality nutritious food that fulfills cultural, religious and hygiene requirements including storing and handling food hygienically.
TVET SECTOR
TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
TRAINER’S METHODOLOGY LEVEL 1 (TM1)
Qualification consists of competencies a TVET trainer performing functions of trainer and assessor must achieve. A TVET trainer is a person who enables a learner or a group of learners to develop competencies to performing a particular trade or technical work.
TRAINER’S METHODOLOGY LEVEL 2 (TM2)*
Qualification that consists of competencies a TVET trainer or technical trainer performing functions as training designer/developer must achieve. A TVET trainer is a person who enables a learner or a group of learners to develop competencies to performing a particular trade or technical work.

tesda scholarship and students assistance program
Programs aim to address equity and access by providing direct financial assistance to deserving TVET enrollees across all regions in the country. The scholarship programs currently being implemented include the following:

Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA)
This program was established through Section 8 of Republic Act No. 8545, otherwise known as the Expanded Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education (GASTPE) Act. PESFA offers educational grants to qualified and deserving college freshmen both in degree and non-degree courses. The program seeks to:
- extend financial assistance to marginalized but deserving students in post-secondary non-degree courses;
- promote TVET;
- contribute to the development of a competent skilled workforce; and
- assist private institutions in their development efforts by assuring a steady supply of enrollees to their course offerings.
The PESFA directed the beneficiaries on the choices of careers to the critical skills requirements of in-demand jobs in the labor market. It also allows for equity distribution of the opportunities made available through government subsidies.

Training for Work Scholarship (TWSP)
This program provides immediate interventions to meet the need for highly critical skills. The program has two-fold objectives:
- to purposively drive TVET provision to available jobs through incentives and appropriate training programs that are directly connected to existing jobs for immediate employment, both locally and overseas,
- to build and strengthen the capacity and capability of TVET institutions in expanding and improving the delivery of quality, efficient and relevant training programs that meet job requirements, including programs for higher levels of technology.
